Welcome to Ty'r Ffynnon farm

Set high on the cliffs of Cardigan Bay just outside the bustling seaside town of New Quay our working sheep farm offers some of the best views in the area.

Set well away from any roads, this is a really safe environment for children with plenty of space for them to play ball games etc. Aled can often be persuaded to take children for a ride on one of the tractors but this is of course only with their parents' consent and is work load and weather dependent. The children may also enjoy helping Margaret to collect the chicken eggs - one of our regular young visitors would not eat eggs at all before he came here but now enjoys eating the ones he has collected himself! At certain times of the year there are piglets to be seen and of course there are always sheep, with the lambs being born in the spring. There is usually at least one of these which will require bottle feeding and we are certainly grateful if any children, or indeed adults, wish to help out. We have two sheep dogs, Flossy and her daughter Maisie and two cats, Max and Harry that you will no doubt see during your stay. All are very friendly but should anyone be unsure of the dogs we will always tie them up if necessary.

Red kites and buzzards can be seen regularly and there have been several sitings of foxes walking across one of our fields. Our large pond has an abundance of fish and also attracts beautiful dragon flies etc, and a not so welcome visitor is a heron who visits quite regularly. It is a very tranquil place to sit and relax with a book or just let the world drift by.

In this peaceful and relaxing setting, coupled with our first class accommodation all of which is visit wales approved you cannot fail to enjoy your holiday.
